Yo My Peeps,

Since my trader bud Bill sold his right coast car trailer :lame: I now need one before ORR season.

If you have a trailer supplier you have dealed with or you have purchased one in the last couple years contact me with name and number of who to contact and let me know why you like the trailer you bought.

I've seen some nice low tilt open trailers at ORR events (Tim) and that is what I am looking for....something that is build well and is 18' long and has the usual tow features that is available for $500. :bsflag:

Dog,
I really like my tilt bed. With a low car it is way easy to load. If I were to get a new one I would get a taller tool box (better rock protection) and 15" wheels. Other than that it is perfect. It tows quite nice at 75-85 MPH. Only drawback is it is not cheap. But then again neither is your car! Jim-Glo Trailers, Arizona. 520-384-4564. I had them del. it to the LA Roadsters swap meet and picked it up there.

I don't know how much you are willing to spend but I know that when i am in the market for a trailer[about every 3 yrs.]I look at resale also. The best open trailer that I know of is the aluim trailer that are made by Tommy's Trailers in Ada,OK.they are built like tanks and can be had with canvas covers that make it an enclosed trailer and you can drive with the cover on if you wish. Not the cheapest that for sure but on the resale market trailers that a 3 years old still sell for almost new price. And they have a lifetime warranty.
here is a link to them.

For what it is worth. In 1991 purchased a TOPS open car trailer, it is not aluminum, it is steel and very durable. Four wheel electric brakes, but no tilt bed - uses ramps. I prefer a trailer with leaf springs, it seems to be easier on everything. The only thing I am going to add is an electric whinch - so I can load and watch it at the same time.

Have used it extensively and has been a good trailer. Tows very well, the price was $1,250.00.

What I have learned is that regardless of the trailer, an important factor is to have a good solid tow vehicle - a little heavier than necessary.

Suggest you talk to Carl Young, he wouldn't recomend it, if it wasnt a good trailer. And the price seems right.

Hey Winston (AKA: Mensen)
"Whinch?" What is that, the British spelling? Big Grin

A heavy tow vehicle? You mean like a '77 Ford LTD Low Rider or something bigger? Roll Eyes

Anyone who knows me knows that I don't care about practical. If I did I'd own a
Porsche! Roll Eyes

But there is a beauty and even some Dawg praticality Razzer in this 8.5'x18' H&H tilt trailer for $1995. If yous wants a hyd option on the tilt its an added $600 option. Lots of options like polished lookin'good diamond plate for $300 and the fully polished lookin'good alum full shield front end for $500 more so for +/- $3300. you got a really sweet trailer that is about $2,000 less then anything I have looked at here in Kalifornia.

Looked through some magazines and found a Mensan test, just for you Dawgy, the test is as follows;

1. Who was the first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time television ?

2. Which hand does Kermit the Frog use to write with ?

3.What day and times do Daylight Savings Time begin and end ?

4.What is the longest English word that has its letters in alphabetical order ?

5.What does A&W in A&W Root Beer stand for ?

6. What is the English plural form of Mongoose ?

This is a real trivia test and comes from the Mensa Bulletin, November - December 2003, Pages 2 to 6.

My question was going to be who was the 4th Century Bishop of Myra (Turkey), but felt that was unfair. Confused

Winston...........
