To All of our Corvette/Racing Friends

I wanted to let you know that Bob Cope passed away on Thursday December 15, 2011. He had gone into the hospital on October 5th for back surgery.  After several unrelated medical issues, ultimately he had a major stroke on Thursday November 17th – the same day he was going to come home.   Bob gave rehab a shot up till December 13th when he was transferred to Covina Valley Hospice in conjunction with his wishes.   He passed away with his family at his side.  His guidance will be missed, but we will carry on in his memory.

On Wednesday December 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM at South Hills Country Club the family will have a memorial to celebrate his life.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that you consider a donation in honor of Robert S. Cope, to Citrus Valley Hospice at 820 N. Phillips Ave. West Covina, CA 91791-1121 or to the Corvette Museum.

Thank you

Paul Cope

Friday's registration was never complete until you all came in at the last minute wanting to register!

Bob was a wonderful man and will be truly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this time.

On behalf of My Mom, Beth, my brother, Paul, and our entire family -- I want to say thank you to everyone for your kind words, thoughts and prayers that we have received in your messages and cards honoring and respecting my Dad since his passing.  God willing, we'll look forward to seeing all of our ORR racing friends again in May when Paul and I will probably race together -- and many more time after that too.  Until then -- be safe

Bob will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  We both raced in the 140 mph class in September.  As usual, he had a great time.  But I got lucky and beat him by a couple of hunderths of a second.  In his good natured way he gave me some grief.  After all we were on the same team--Team Vegas Vettes.  My thought and prayers are with the entire Cope family.  Hope to see you in May.
