It appears that no one got sick, so I proclaim a success!  All of us folks from the south will remember a barbecue in the snow, sleet, hail and rain repeating multiple times.  The source of the ribs has changed and I like these better, one gets the entire rib.  I may be strange, but I like the upper end with the fat and gristle.  Lori helped a lot and I thank her immensely.  For this event we brought our own heating and holding equipment.  Getting the Stardust open for business was touch and go, a big thanks for the efforts from new and old management.  The venue is perfect for what we do and the current management wants to continue the event.  By the end of the day we had a roaring bonfire going, again thanks to the wood provided by the Stardust.  I certainly want to thank everyone that attended.  I want to finish with a bold  statement, "it will not snow in September."  Berry Lowman also contributed to the success of HCA and the barbecue.

Again I thank everyone who braved the elements and I promise September will be better.  Lori is coming back, I think I have my daughter hooked.  She is not excited about driving the Corvette and I am not excited to get the Dodge ready for speeds above 125.  Yeah but, the Dodge needs a roll bar for sanctioned drag races.  I have no plans to sell the car so go for the roll/harness bar.  I guess I will contact Mr. Hansen.  Rant over!
