I had my reply all typed out and they wouldn't post it - I had to re-register... I had some questions to post from people I met over the holidays, but guess I will wait a few days till this new board gets sorted out. Hey, and what happened to the button to click on for adding my signature? You mean I have to type it in EACH time now?!! Sun is shining, weather is sweet (there MUST be nice weather somewhere!) makes you want to move your dancing (or driving) feet. ;~))

This board seems like a newspaper now. I would like to suggest that we keep the comic pages in this general section, for those of us who need the entertainment. While I can see Racers Tips becoming a real Dear Abby section. And so it goes.

Keith, I think you're getting the point now. The people who use the board the most don't want to look in 9 different places for messages. The tone in your post sounds like you're a little irritated, kind of like these people are irritated by the new format.

Eric, I can appreciate that but what they haven't figured out yet is that this is what we have. That old PHP board isn't coming back, so we should just get on with it. It's not too hard to figure out that for sale stuff goes in classifieds, and the general crap goes in general, etc.

If you guys want everything in one place, why not just post everything to general? I never saw anything posted that said you had to stay in the right forum (look at this one in EVERY forum). Do what you want, all I am saying is I know the PHP board won't work on the server where the site is hosted now.

Keith you still don't get it. It's not this board per se, it's that now that it's 9 different boards and the fact that you seem to be determined to shove it down peoples throats. Look at what happened to the ARRA board when they got shitty with the people using it. Oh, wait, you can't look at it BECAUSE IT"S GONE!!

Hey Jim, over the past several months I have been involved with helping SSCC administer their web page as Phil Henry's health was deteriorating. When they made the decision to move the pages to a new server, I suggested a place and we moved it. I have a lot of control of the server where it's hosted now and one thing I can say is that the info posted to this board is backed up all the time. I can't say the computer is failsafe, but as much as it could be. I agree that when the board was...

Tom, I admire your well-thought-out and unselfish post about starting order. The only point I might take issue with is #4. In Carl's case, for instance, he left no debris on the road. In other cases, such as Rick Doria's crash last year, or Todd's dumping oil the previoius year, significant cleanup was needed. This actually gets to the heart of things. The main reason why the UNL's might start last is becasue of risking delaying everybody else. Remember the long delays at Elko two years ago...

Please lighten up on Boyce. He is enthusiastic and that is good for the sport. The only person his statements are likely to be used against by an insurance company is himself. His statements are not likely to be useable against Carl or anyone else. Before an insurance company would be able to use his post on this message board in court, it probably would have to call Boyce in as a witness in a court case and qualify him as an expert on the sport; that is not likely.
